Growing up I always wanted to be a nurse. That dream was fulfilled when my parents provided me a college education, the first in my family. My career as a nurse showed me just how broad a scope nursing can be as I served as an Air Force nurse, NICU nurse in Sacramento CA and Charlottesville VA, and in Occupational Safety & Health for 2 tire manufacturers, the final assignment in Liberia, West Africa. My career blessed me in many ways and allowed me to raise a family. I've loved every job and the experiences they brought. Now retired, I live in Gloucester Point VA with my husband of 47 years, Stewart.
Saved at 18 and married 23, we have made it an important step to find a church home wherever we lived and raise our children in a church family. We have been actively engaged in every church. The common thread I've found in nursing and engaging with the church is service to others. My primary objective as I go through this life is to continue to learn and grow as a child of God and believer in Christ, and to share that knowledge with others. I want others to experience a lifetime of learning too.
